Description
The Short nose Boxfish has a lovely grey body colour with a small bump on the nose area above the upper lip and a ridge along the middle of the back. They have a pattern of hexagons with brown spots.
Use caution if placing the Short nose Boxfish in a reef tank as they will often nibble at tubeworms and possible other sessile invertebrates.Very little success has been achieved in breeding these fish in an aquarium. When first introduced, the Short nose Boxfish can be fed a diet of live brine shrimp and other meaty foods.
