The Oase AquaMax Gravity Eco Pond Pump range are energy-efficient pumps with impressive flow rates from 10000-18000 lph. Designed for larger ponds, especially koi ponds with gravity led filtration systems, the Gravity Eco range can easily handle particles of up to 6 mm and have a 50mm hose size.
The unit has a stainless steel cage, which will make maintenance of the pond pump easier, keeping out any large pieces of waste. With all-new electronically controlled electric motors and clever impeller design, these impressive solids handling pumps are backed by a 5-year guarantee. The removable base enables pump installation in confined spaces, while the included adapter set enables the connection of hoses and pipes.
Selecting what size pond pump to run your filtration system is one of the most important things to consider when setting up your pond. Pump flow rates drop when you pump higher and further than the pond, so you need to consider these effects. You should aim to purchase a pump that meets the maximum flow rate of your filter at its height above pond level.
You'll need to consider how you'll get power to your pump. To comply with UK electrical legislation, pond appliances can't be supplied with a fitted plug, so you'll need to purchase one separately or wire it into an outdoor plug socket. A 10 m cable is provided, but these do not come with a fitted plug, to allow you to lengthen the cable with a waterproof connector. You'll also need some ribbed anti-kink pond hose and some hose clips to keep the hose firmly attached to the pump.
